Waves To Water - Benefit CD/download



Canadian Artists have come together to release a benefit CD in response to the help tsunami affected communities. Volume 2 contatins Sarah Slean's single for When Another Midnight featuring K-os. As posted before, this version was previously only available through iTunes.

Puretracks (puretracks.com) and partner sites are raising funds for the initiative through online sales of two album compilations featuring music by leading Canadian artists, including several new and exclusive tracks. The albums can be downloaded on Puretracks and partner sites for $10 each plus GST. All proceeds will go toward WavesToWater.

Tour Officaly Announced

Slean's tour has now been offically announced.

Sarahslean.com's site features a list of shows and in the boutique section has a few ticket sales (done through maple music). It works out a dollar cheaper for the Toronto show compared to Ticket Master. For more details about any of the shows visit the SarahSlean.com message board as it has 2 Tour forums.

Sarah Jammin' in Ottawa Friday - CBC

Sarah will be playing a free televised show in Ottawa this Friday. A new forum has been created on SarahSlean.com message board for this event. Cathy posted the following details:

FOLLOW THE MUSIC TO CBC/RADIO-CANADA THIS FRIDAY, WHEN JAMMIN’ DOWNTOWN COMES TO THE CBC BROADCAST CENTRE in Ottawa.

Jan. 14th at 7:30 p.m. (doors open at 7:00pm)
The evening concert will be recorded for television and features Roxanne Potvin, Jim Bryson, Maria Hawkins and Sarah Slean.

Be part of this television special.

Join CBC/Radio-Canada for JAMMIN’ DOWNTOWN, a free musical celebration sure to warm up even the coldest winter day, on Friday, January 14th in Studio 40 of the CBC Broadcast Centre at 181 Queen Street.

The event is free but as space is limited, tickets must be reserved in advance. Call (613) 288-6545 to reserve your ticket now. The public can enter the building at 181 Queen Street.

The video taped evening concert marked the first-ever TV production in the new Ottawa broadcast centre. The show will air March 13 at 4 p.m. in
Ottawa, and features Sarah Slean,
singer/songwriter/pianist from
Pickering, Ont.; Jim Bryson, singer/songwriter/guitarist from Ottawa;
Maria Hawkins, "Ottawa's Blues Lady"; and singer Roxanne Potvin, one of
the most promising new talents from the Ottawa area.
